Legislation was recently passed to establish a Review Panel to replace the single Trade Measures Review Officer. As part of the Government's commitment to improve the anti-dumping and countervailing system in Australia, three members (one of which is a Senior Member) are to be appointed to form the anti-dumping Review Panel. Members of the Panel will contribute to Australia's anti-dumping regulatory framework by undertaking independent reviews of certain decisions about anti-dumping or countervailing matters.
The Office of the Senior Trade Advisor has responsibility for establishing the new anti-dumping Review Panel and has requested our assistance to circulate the attached advertisement to our members to help inform industry of the recruitment campaign and the forthcoming change to the appeals process.

The Minister has approved a public advertising strategy for the Panel positions, and advertising commenced on Friday 15 February 2013 with applications closing 28 February 2013.
